Next, head to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), where you’ll explore Egypt’s rich history through interactive exhibits, including the famous royal mummies. After a day filled with ancient wonders, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
Your full-day adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by our representative. The tour starts with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, some of the most famous monuments in the world, celebrated even during Roman times. Each pyramid served as the final resting place for the king of Egypt’s 4th Dynasty.
The Great Pyramid, built for King Khufu, is the oldest and largest, standing as the tallest man-made structure for nearly 3,800 years. The other two pyramids were built for Khufu’s son, Khafre, and his grandson, Menkaure. You’ll also get a close look at the Great Sphinx, the legendary guardian of the plateau with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh.
Lunch break at a local restaurant
After Lunch, your tour continues with a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC). As the first museum of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world, NMEC offers a comprehensive journey through the rich and diverse history of Egyptian civilization, from prehistoric times to the modern era.
The museum houses an exceptional collection, including the famed royal mummies, displayed using cutting-edge 21st-century technology. The interactive exhibit provides a deep dive into ancient mummification rituals and religious beliefs, revealing the secrets beneath the wrappings.
After your tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo, marking the end of a fascinating day exploring Egypt’s timeless wonders.
