What's the best time to visit Egypt?
October to April brings cooler, comfortable days — ideal for Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. Summer is hotter but quieter and better value, especially for the Red Sea and Nile cruises.
Do I need a visa for Egypt?
Most visitors need a tourist visa. Many nationalities can get an e-Visa online in advance or a visa on arrival at the airport — we confirm exactly what your passport needs when you book.
How many days do you need in Egypt?
Seven to eight days covers the classics — Cairo, the Pyramids and a Luxor–Aswan Nile cruise. Add a few days for Abu Simbel, the Red Sea or Alexandria on a 10–12 day trip.
Is Egypt safe for tourists?

Is the Grand Egyptian Museum open?
Yes. The Grand Egyptian Museum opened in November 2025 beside the Giza Pyramids, and it's now home to the restored Khufu Solar Boat. We include it on most Cairo itineraries.
