Egypt Tour Packages Built by People Who Actually Live Here
Egypt isn't just a destination — it's a conversation with one of humanity's greatest civilisations. At Egypt Tours by Locals, we have spent over 14 years crafting private, tailored journeys that go far beyond the tourist trail.
Our team of licensed local guides and trip specialists are Egypt-born and Egypt-raised. We know the precise moment Abu Simbel's inner sanctum floods with sunlight. We know which tombs in the Valley of the Kings hold murals so vivid they stop you mid-sentence. We know the family-owned perfumery near Khan El Khalili that's been crafting scents for generations.
Since 2012, we've designed private Egypt packages for travellers from 32 countries. Every package we offer can be fully tailored to your schedule, budget, and pace — at no extra cost. 15 packages listed below. None of them are fixed.

Egypt's Greatest Wonders — What's Inside Every Package
From the Great Pyramids to Abu Simbel's solar-aligned sanctum, here is what our guides unlock at each site that no guidebook or audio tour ever covers.
Cairo · All Packages
Great Pyramids of Giza & the Sphinx
The only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Your guide decodes the Orion alignment, explains how 2.3 million blocks were moved, and reveals the real identity debate around the Sphinx.
Giza · All Packages
Grand Egyptian Museum — Tutankhamun's Treasures
100,000+ artifacts including the complete Tutankhamun collection. Our guides navigate its vastness so you experience what matters most in the time you have — guided, not overwhelmed.
Luxor · 6-Day Packages+
Valley of the Kings & Luxor Temples
63 royal tombs carved over 500 years. Your guide walks you through the Book of the Dead inscriptions on the painted walls — at the site where they were carved 3,200 years ago.
Luxor–Aswan · 7-Day+
Nile River Cruise — Luxor to Aswan
Temples reveal themselves from the riverbank exactly as ancient priests saw them. Evenings on the sun deck under stars, with the quiet water and distant palms — Egypt at its most timeless.
Aswan · 8-Day Packages+
Abu Simbel — Ramesses II's Greatest Monument
Carved into sandstone 3,300 years ago and relocated in the 1960s. Arriving at dawn when the statues glow — with a guide explaining the solar alignment — is consistently our most-reviewed moment.
Western Desert · 7-Day+
Siwa Oasis & the White Desert
Egypt beyond the Nile — ancient oracle temples, natural salt springs, and the otherworldly chalk formations of the White Desert that glow silver under moonlight. A different Egypt entirely.

Yes — every package we offer can be fully customised at no extra charge. You can adjust duration, add or remove destinations, upgrade hotels, change Nile cruise tier, or build a completely bespoke Egypt tour from scratch. Tell us your wishlist and we deliver a personalised day-by-day itinerary within 24 hours, free, no obligation.
For first-time visitors, the 8-Day Egypt Package covering Cairo, a 4-night Nile cruise, and Abu Simbel gives the most satisfying experience without feeling rushed. If time is limited, the 6-Day Affordable Tour covering Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan is the best compact option. Both include all entrance fees and a licensed local guide.
Egypt package tours range from $1,200 per person (7-day Siwa desert tour) to $3,850 per person (12-day Egypt & Turkey multi-country tour). The most popular 8-day package starts from $1,700 per person. All prices include entrance fees, transfers, accommodation, and a licensed local guide.
Yes — Egypt is safe for tourists in 2026, particularly in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and along the Nile Valley. Tourist police are stationed at all major monuments. We have guided private groups from 32 countries since 2012 without incident. Traveling with an experienced local operator is the single most important factor in a safe Egypt experience.
October through April is Egypt's prime travel season. November offers the ideal balance of mild temperatures (18–26°C), beautiful Nile light, and moderate crowds. December–January has best weather but highest prices. Summer (June–August) is extremely hot (40°C+) with lowest prices — manageable on a Nile cruise where A/C cabins and early-morning touring provide relief.
Our packages are land-only, beginning and ending at Cairo International Airport. International flights from your home country are not included, allowing you to book the best fares independently. All domestic flights within Egypt required by the itinerary are included in 8-day and above packages — Cairo to Luxor, Aswan to Cairo, Abu Simbel excursions, etc.
Egypt is one of the world's best family destinations. Children aged 6+ are fascinated by pyramids, mummies, and ancient treasure. Our family-specialist guides adapt storytelling for younger audiences, include camel rides and interactive temple activities, and pace itineraries to avoid exhaustion. We recommend October, November, or February for family tours.
Our Nile cruise packages are effectively all-inclusive — accommodation, all meals onboard, licensed local guides, site entry fees, and domestic flights. Cairo city packages include accommodation, breakfasts, guides, and all scheduled tours. We can create a fully all-inclusive package including all meals on request — simply ask when getting your custom quote.

Full refund for cancellations 45+ days before departure. 50% refund for cancellations 30–44 days before. No refund less than 30 days before departure — we strongly recommend travel insurance to cover this window. In documented force majeure situations (illness, government travel restrictions), we offer free date rescheduling.
Absolutely. We offer fully private solo tours with complete flexibility and personalised attention — the same guide, same entrance fees, same service as any other group. All our tours are 100% private (your group only). Solo travellers can also request to join a small group departure (max 12 people) to share costs.
