Cairo Pyramids Tour Itinerary

Your full-day tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by our representative. The adventure starts at the Giza Plateau, where you’ll visit the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos.

Your guide will take you to the Valley Temple, where the priests mummified the body of King Chephren, the builder of the second pyramid. This is also where you’ll get an up-close view of the Sphinx, the majestic guardian with the body of a lion and the head of King Chephren.

Lunch break at a local restaurant

Next, continue your journey to Saqqara, located 27 kilometers southwest of Cairo. Here, you’ll visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, an important milestone in the evolution of pyramid construction. This pyramid, built as a series of mastabas stacked atop one another, marks a significant phase in Egypt’s architectural history.

Your tour then takes you to the ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. At this historic site, you’ll see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the impressive Alabaster Sphinx, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of Egypt’s ancient civilization. Memphis dates back to 3100 B.C., making it a key part of Egypt’s early dynastic period.

At the end of your tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel, concluding a day rich with history and discovery.

For an enhanced experience, you can choose to enter one of the pyramids, ride a camel around the Giza Pyramids, or enjoy a quad bike ride through the desert. These activities can be added during the booking process for an additional fee.
