Cairo City Tour Itinerary

Your day begins with our representative’s pickup from your hotel in Cairo. You’ll be transferred to Giza City in a private A/C vehicle to start your exploration of the Giza Pyramids. These iconic structures, along with the Great Sphinx, rank among the most famous tourist destinations in the world, renowned even during Roman times.

Each pyramid served as the final resting place for a king of the 4th Dynasty. The Great Pyramid of Giza, built for King Khufu, is both the oldest and largest, with no structure surpassing its height for another 3,800 years.

Next, you’ll head to Old Cairo, also known as Christian Coptic Cairo, one of the most significant locations visited by the Holy Family. The spiritual impact of their presence is still felt today. The area includes the Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius), built above a cave where the Holy Family sought refuge. This pilgrimage site attracts Christians worldwide, exuding an atmosphere of piety. You’ll visit the Church of Abu Sergah, St. Barbara’s Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Lunch break at a local restaurant

Your journey continues to the Citadel of Saladin, where you’ll explore the impressive Mohamed Ali Mosque, known as the Alabaster Mosque. The Citadel is one of the most iconic monuments in Islamic Cairo and served as a formidable fortress during the Middle Ages. Its strategic location on the Muqattam Hills offers breathtaking panoramic views of Cairo.

Conclude your day with a visit to the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, famous for its fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, and antiques.

At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel, wrapping up a day filled with history and culture.

For those looking to enhance their experience, options are available to enter one of the pyramids, ride a camel around the Giza Pyramids, take a quad bike ride through the desert, or enjoy a Felucca boat ride on the Nile.
