Cancellation Policy

At Egypt Tours by Locals, we strive to provide the best possible experience for all our customers. We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be flexible and fair with our cancellation policy. Below you will find the details regarding cancellations and refunds for 1-Day Tours and Travel Packages.

1. Cancellation Policy for 1-Day Tours

a. Cancellation by the Participant

We recognize that unforeseen circumstances may require you to cancel your 1-Day Tour. The following cancellation rules apply:

• Cancellations made 14 days or more before the tour date: You will receive a full refund minus a processing fee of 10% of the tour price.
• Cancellations made between 13 and 7 days before the tour date: You will receive a 50% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour date: No refund will be issued.

b. No-Shows

If you fail to show up on the day of the tour without prior notification, no refund will be provided. The full tour price will be charged.

c. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late and miss part of the tour, the full tour price will still be charged. It is your responsibility to arrive at the specified meeting point on time.

d. Rescheduling

You may request to reschedule your 1-Day Tour without incurring a penalty if the request is made at least 14 days in advance. Rescheduling requests made within 14 days of the tour may incur additional fees and are subject to availability.

2. Cancellation Policy for Travel Packages

Our Travel Packages typically include multiple services such as accommodation, transportation, guided tours, and more. The following cancellation rules apply to these packages:

a. Cancellation by the Participant

• Cancellations made 60 days or more before the package start date: Full refund minus a processing fee of 10% of the package price.
• Cancellations made between 59 and 30 days before the package start date: 50% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before the package start date: No refund will be issued.

b. No-Shows

Failure to arrive on the start date of your travel package will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be provided. The full package price will be charged.

c. Partial Cancellations

If you cancel or decide not to participate in part of the package (e.g., specific tours, excursions, or activities) while the package is ongoing, no refunds will be issued for unused portions.

d. Rescheduling

You may request to reschedule your Travel Package if the request is made at least 60 days before the start date. Rescheduling within 60 days of the start date may incur fees and is subject to availability and pricing changes.

3. Cancellation by Egypt Tours by Locals

In rare circumstances, Egypt Tours by Locals may need to cancel or alter a tour or travel package due to unforeseen events such as weather conditions, safety concerns, or low participation. In such cases:

• You will be offered a full refund, or
• You may choose to reschedule the tour or package to another available date without additional charges.

We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred, such as visa fees, airline tickets, or other costs, due to the cancellation.

4. Force Majeure

Egypt Tours by Locals will not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or modifications to your tour or travel package due to force majeure events. These events include but are not limited to natural disasters, strikes, war, civil unrest, pandemics, or government restrictions. In the event of force majeure, no refunds will be issued, but we will work with you to reschedule or provide alternative options.

5. Refund Process

If you are eligible for a refund, we will process it using the original payment method within 14 business days of the cancellation request. Please note that any refund-related fees (e.g., bank or credit card fees) will be deducted from the refund amount.

6. Travel Insurance

We highly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, interruptions, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Egypt Tours by Locals is not responsible for any losses or additional costs incurred due to trip cancellations or changes.
