DAY1
Day 1

Arrival & Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and Sakkara Tour

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you and assist you with the transfer from the airport. Begin your Egyptian adventure by visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Explore the Valley Temple, where King Chephren was mummified, and marvel at the iconic Great Sphinx, the lion-bodied, human-headed guardian of the pyramids.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant

Afterward, continue to Sakkara, located 27 km southwest of Cairo, where you’ll visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser. This is the earliest colossal stone building in Egypt, representing an important stage in the evolution of pyramids from simple mastabas to their iconic form.

Your next stop is Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you’ll witness the impressive colossal statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. Memphis dates back to around 3100 B.C. and is a vital part of Egypt’s ancient history.

After the tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel.

Optional Evening Activities:

  • Dinner Cruise: Enjoy a night of entertainment on the Nile, including belly dance and tanoura show
  • Sound and Light Show: Experience the Pyramids’ history brought to life through an impressive light show

 Meals: Lunch

DAY2
Day 2

Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Bazaar & Airport Transfer

After breakfast at your hotel, our representative will pick you up to start your full-day tour. First, visit the Egyptian Museum, home to over 250,000 artifacts, including treasures dating back 5,000 years.

Next, head to the Citadel of Saladin, a massive medieval fortress. Visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, designed similarly to the famous Blue Mosque of Turkey but on a smaller scale.

Lunch will be included at a local restaurant.

Finally, explore the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can shop for brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, and antiques.

At the end of the day, you'll be transferred back to Cairo International Airport for your departure.

Best Time to Visit Cairo

Cairo is a year-round destination, but weather conditions can significantly impact comfort — especially during outdoor visits like the Pyramids of Giza.

When to Go:

October – April:

The most comfortable season for sightseeing. Mild temperatures make walking tours, museum visits, and outdoor exploration far more enjoyable.

May – September:

Hot and dry. Ideal for budget-conscious travelers or shorter stays. Plan early morning visits to open-air sites and take midday breaks.

💡 Tip: If you're spending only 2 days in Cairo, visiting between November and March gives you the most pleasant touring conditions with manageable crowds.

Smart Packing Tips for Cairo

Since this is a city-based cultural tour, packing light and smart will make your experience much easier.

🧥 Clothing:

  • Lightweight, breathable fabrics (cotton or linen)
  • Comfortable, modest outfits covering shoulders and knees
  • Light scarf (useful for mosques or sun protection)
  • Light jacket for winter evenings (December–February)

👟 Footwear:

  • Comfortable closed walking shoes (museum floors & pyramid plateau)
  • Optional sandals for relaxed evenings

🧢 Essentials:

  • Sunglasses & hat (sun exposure at Giza is strong)
  • SPF 50+ sunscreen
  • Small backpack for daily touring
  • Portable power bank for your phone/camera
  • Travel tissues & hand sanitizer

🎒 Bonus: Bring a universal adapter (Type C or F plugs are common in Egypt).

Cultural Etiquette in Cairo

Cairo is cosmopolitan, but cultural awareness is always appreciated.

Dress Respectfully:

  • Modest clothing is recommended, especially in mosques and historic districts.
  • Avoid overly revealing clothing.
  • Comfortable yet respectful attire is ideal.

Greetings & Interaction:

  • A friendly “Salam Alaikum” is always welcomed.
  • Handshakes are common; use your right hand when giving or receiving items.
  • Public displays of affection should be minimal.

Photography:

  • Ask permission before photographing locals.
  • Some museums require a separate ticket for photography.
  • Avoid photographing military buildings or police.
