The 90-minute rule
Local families plan around roughly 90 minutes of structured sightseeing, then a break — snacks, water, pool, or simply downtime. We build this rhythm into every family itinerary: a temple or museum in the cooler morning, then back to the hotel or boat for the afternoon. It is the single biggest difference between a trip kids love and one that melts down — and it is only possible on a private, flexible tour, never a fixed group schedule.
What children love in Egypt
- Camel rides at the Pyramids and climbing inside the smaller tombs.
- Sailing the Nile on a felucca — relaxed, breezy, and a hit with all ages.
- The Grand Egyptian Museum & Tutankhamun's treasures — gold, mummies, real-life treasure-hunt energy.
- Kom Ombo's crocodile temple and Edfu's falcon god — temples with a story kids remember.
- Red Sea snorkelling in Hurghada or Sharm — shallow, warm, full of colourful fish.
- A Nubian village visit in Aswan — colour, music and famously kid-friendly hospitality.
